Dear All,
Here we are again – looking forward to seeing you all again after, hopefully, a relaxing summer break! How time flies! We, as usual, have not been putting our feet up. We have both been extremely busy with attending congress, professional examinations and wedding plans.
We will be commencing our new classes on the following dates:
2nd September 2009 – Millennum Centre, Baddow. (Wednesdays)
3rd September 2009 – Boreham Village Hall, Boreham. (Thursdays)
Times of classes will remain the same for the coming dance year:-
Advance Class – 7.15 p.m. – Boreham Village Hall only
Improver Class – 7.30 p.m. – Millennum Centre, Baddow
- 7.45 p.m. – Boreham Village Hall.
Beginner Class – 8.30 p.m. – Both Venues.
Practice Session – 9.30 – 10.00 p.m. – Both Venues
We are also endeavouring to keep costs down. Cost £6.00 per night regardless of how many classes are attended in any one evening. (i.e. Stay all evening from 7.15/7.30 until 10.00 p.m. for £6.00 – has to be a bargain!).
The only change we will be making this year is that we are intending to teach the same dance on both evenings for a particular class. We have listened to feedback and thought we would give it a try. This means that if you are unable to attend on your usual evening during one week you would be able to come along to the other evening in the same week and receive the same tuition.
We would like to try to encourage dancers to change partners during lessons (this is not obligatory those of you who really feel happier staying together then please do), not only will you learn to dance quicker but you will also get to know other pupils and this in turn leads to a great social life. For many of our pupils, and we are sure we are right in saying, their lives have completely changed since learning to dance.
Our success is down to you – the pupil, thank you for your support over the years without it we would not be able to flourish.
For those of you who are interested in taking your dancing a ‘little bit more serious’ we hold an Examination Class this will now be on a Sunday evening commencing at 7.30 p.m. You do not necessary have to take exams just wanting to improve your dance technique. These are much smaller classes and the cost of £10.00 per evening also includes a ½ hour private lesson on a rota basis. This class, although hard work, is great fun – ask any of our medallists and I am sure they will agree not only is it fun but a great sense of achievement and it is not as hard as it looks.
Private lessons are also a great way of improving your dancing. We are able to offer one to one tuition – great if you miss a class or a particular course you may have been interested in.
We both look forward to seeing you in the next few weeks and remember
‘KEEP SMILING, KEEP DANCING’
